We do not intentionally collect government ID numbers, full financial account numbers (other than tokenized payment data handled by Stripe), biometric identifiers, precise continuous geolocation tracking, or sensitive health data beyond voluntary dietary preferences you choose to provide.

  • Payment Processor (Stripe) — Tokenized transaction data and fraud-prevention signals.
  • Event Partners — Limited confirmation or attendance data when attending partner-hosted events.

4. How We Use Personal Information

We process Personal Information to:

  • Match you to compatible event groups
  • Facilitate event scheduling and logistics
  • Provide personalized recommendations
  • Manage subscriptions, billing, and accounts
  • Send transactional notifications (event reminders, confirmations, subscription updates, safety notices)
  • Request feedback and improve services
  • Send promotional communications (you may opt out at any time)
  • Ensure safety and enforce our Terms & Code of Conduct
  • Analyze aggregated usage data to improve the Platform

We rely on your consent, contractual necessity, and legitimate business interests in operating Social 6.

We do not sell Personal Information.

We may share Personal Information:

  • With Event Partners — As necessary to reserve attendance and coordinate logistics.
  • With Service Providers — Cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics, payment processors, and security providers, all bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • For Legal or Safety Reasons — To comply with law, protect rights, or ensure safety.
  • In Aggregated or Anonymized Form — For analytics or reporting purposes.

We do not currently engage in cross-context behavioral advertising that constitutes a "sale" or "share" under CCPA/CPRA.

5A. Member-Submitted Content & Event Media

Members may voluntarily submit photos, testimonials, feedback, and other content.

By submitting content, you represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions.

Social 6 may use submitted content to:

  • Operate and improve the Platform
  • Showcase community experiences
  • Support marketing and promotional efforts

You retain ownership of your content.

For Social 6-hosted events, photography or video may occur. By attending, you acknowledge that media may be captured for marketing and community purposes. You may request not to appear by notifying us in advance or informing a host.

You may request removal of content you submitted by contacting hello@social6.events. Removal may not apply to materials already incorporated into published content or retained for legal or safety purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Social 6 service, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, enforce our agreements, and maintain business and financial records.

Cancellation of a subscription does not automatically result in deletion of Personal Information. When a membership is canceled, access to the Platform is disabled and the account is archived. Certain information may be retained for legitimate business purposes, including:

  • Payment and transaction records
  • Tax and accounting compliance
  • Fraud prevention and chargeback defense
  • Enforcement of our Terms & Code of Conduct (including attendance and no-show history)
  • Internal analytics and service improvement

We retain Personal Information only as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes or as required by law.

7. Your Rights & Choices

You have the right to:

  • Access / Portability — Request a copy of the Personal Information we hold.
  • Correction — Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Deletion — You may request deletion of your Personal Information, including content you submitted. Cancellation of your membership does not automatically delete your Personal Information. If you wish to request deletion, you must submit a separate privacy request. We may retain certain information as permitted by law, including where necessary to complete transactions, maintain financial and tax records, detect and prevent fraud, enforce our Terms & Code of Conduct, or comply with legal obligations.
  • Marketing Opt-Out — You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link.

No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Social 6 is intended for individuals 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from persons under 21.
